Nature Wonders

Activity 3. Creation of a board/poster for endangered species

  1. Make a bulletin board or poster for the animals you were looking for information about and record it in Worksheet 1, “Animal Species”. Add new information about endangered species that are specific to Europe and your country. You can also use Worksheet 2, which contains additional information about more interesting animals.
  2. Include the most important information about them: distribution, size, weight, life span, external features, what life adaptations they have developed, their importance, and the threats they face.
  3. Work in the same groups as in the previous activity. Work cooperatively, distributing tasks evenly.
  4. Discuss in your group and decide what design to choose to present the most important information you have included in the worksheet. You could add additional information, such as drawing the continent on which the animals live, adding drawings or pictures of plants from the natural area, etc. Or present another endangered animal species that you have done your research on and are impressed by.
  5. Aim for the board or poster to be informative, aesthetically pleasing, and to serve as an awareness-raiser for your schoolmates.
  6. Present the board or poster to the class, and then display it in a prominent place in the school, forming a corner under the heading “Let’s protect endangered species”.
