Activity 3. Determination of pH of honey
You will investigate the environment (acidic, basic or neutral) of different types of honey and explain what these values mean.
1. Dilute a small amount of honey in distilled water (usually 1 part honey to 10 parts water).
2. Measure the pH of the solution using a pH meter or pH strips.
3. Record the results in the table on Worksheet 3. Determining of pH of honey and compare the different types of honey.
