What I learned
❖ Waste is an inevitable part of our lives. They are divided into different types and categories according to their origin, composition and recyclability. It is important to know the types of waste so that we can collect it separately to reduce its negative impact on the environment and take measures to reduce it.
❖ To safeguard human health, we must transform and manage garbage effectively. We must also take deliberate and methodical care of the environment to avoid jeopardising biodiversity and the planet’s sustainability.
❖ Each of us can contribute to this with small but daily actions, such as:
- sorting and disposing of waste separately in appropriate containers
- reducing the use of disposable packaging
- recycling paper, plastic, glass and metal waste
- helping to turn organic waste into compost
- inform themselves and others about the consequences of indiscriminate waste disposal and recycling opportunities
- recognises hazardous waste and disposes of it in designated areas
❖ Caring for the environment is everyone’s responsibility. Reducing waste by sorting it and supporting initiatives to recycle and treat it properly is part of our contribution to preserving a cleaner and healthier planet.
