Green Energy

You are about to take on the role of architect and design an eco-friendly house. You will work in teams.

For the purpose of the project, it is necessary:

1. On your own, outside of class, explore what green technologies can be used in the construction of an eco-friendly house. This could include solar panels, wind turbines, rainwater harvesting systems, insulation materials, etc. Choose at least three technologies that you think are most appropriate.
2. Develop and present a design for such a house, justifying your choice of technologies and predicting the energy efficiency of the house.
3. Prepare a short presentation of your team project in a format of your choice.
4. Present your project to the class in 5-10 minutes.

During the preparation, try to answer the following questions for the project presentation:

1. What green technologies did you choose and why?
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies?
3. What is your estimate for the energy efficiency of your house?
4. What challenges might you face in implementing this project?
5. What additional measures would you take to improve energy efficiency?
6. To what extent can what you propose be implemented in reality?

The project evaluation criteria are:

1. Technology research and selection (30%) – Have appropriate and innovative technologies been selected?
2. Justification (30%) – Is the justification logical and well argued?
3. Energy efficiency (20%) – Is the energy efficiency forecast realistic and well justified?
4. Presentation (10%) – Is the presentation clear, structured and well presented?
5. Creativity and originality (10%)– Does the presentation offer original and creative solutions?
